Throughout this past Spring Semester, I have had the great privilege of being under the guidance and direction of two mentors who have worked to prepare me both personally and professionally.

Dr. Shelley is a Spanish language teacher with a special focus on English as a Second Language students at Mandan High School. During my time with Dr. Shelley, we were able to discuss the difficulties and joys of living in a foreign country and of learning a second or even third or fourth language. I was able to observe her classroom a number of times and interact with students from around the world.

Dr. Litton is the Program Director of Criminal Justice, with a background in Anthropology in the Liffrig Family School of Education and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Mary. Dr. Litton and I worked together to create a professional resume as well as cover letter to better prepare me for the workplace. We also were able to discuss job opportunities to find a career that best fits my interests and talents.
